That’s completely okay — and very normal. My sessions are designed to allow kids to be kids. Movement, curiosity, and even a little chaos are all part of the process, and often lead to the most genuine, joyful moments.
There’s no expectation for children to be perfectly behaved or looking at the camera the whole time.

Almost everyone feels this way at first. I’ll gently guide you, and one of my favourite tips is to turn your attention toward your partner or your children — talk to them, laugh with them, interact naturally.
The awkwardness usually disappears quickly, and what’s left is connection — which is what creates the most meaningful images.

A mix of both. I’ll make sure you have a few images where everyone is together and connected, but my focus is always on candid, natural moments that tell a story and feel real.

Most sessions take place outdoors — open fields at sunset are a favourite — but I also love in-home sessions.
If you’re unsure what would suit your family best, we can decide together.

If the weather isn’t playing our game, we can always reschedule. Your comfort (and enjoyment) is more important than pushing through conditions that don’t feel right.
And sometimes, slightly unpredictable days can create the most beautiful images — we’ll take it as it comes.
